just booked three nights* for ol’ b & i at this PLACE OF HEAVEN in northern thailand, a place an hour north of chiang rai called the golden triangle. from our breezy balcony we will be able to see myanmar (aka burma), thailand and laos in one eye-shot. (hence: the golden triangle.) oh, and no biggie, there is an elephant preservation camp downstairs on the hotel’s grounds. weeeeeeeeeep!

(*yes, it is just a wee bit stressful trying to plan a three-week asian excursion in the midst of worrying about placecards and final RSVPS and blahblahblah but it is also a lovely reminder that there is life after wedding.)
