American photojournalist Steve McCurry is the guy who snapped the iconic “Afghan Girl” for the cover of National Geographic over 25 years ago. (You know, that photo of the girl in a head scarf, with the greenest eyes you have ever seen on a real person?) Well, my father told me about McCurry’s blog awhile back, and I check it out every so often to get a dose of reality/ to sate my wanderlust. It seems there is nowhere he hasn’t been; nothing he hasn’t seen. And he photographs it all.
That said, I took a peek at his site this morning, and wow. This dude is just incredible.
